Creating Fulfilled Destinies!

excerpts of the revival fire of god

Ezekiel 36:33,  " This is what the Sovereign LORD says: On the day I cleanse you from all your sins, I will resettle your towns, and the ruins will be rebuilt.”

Before we start on this chapter it is imperative that to pray these prayers.

  • Every dry bone of despair; poverty; disobedience; sickness; affliction lying in the valley of my life receive revival in the name of Jesus. Amen!
  • Every area of desolation in my destiny lying waste receive revival fire in Jesus’ name. Amen!
  • Every area of my foundation ruined by the powers of darkness, be rebuilt by the Holy Ghost in Jesus’ name. Amen!

Since the beginning of this book we have been using the Revival Fire of God as the power for restoration.

The approach to this chapter will be a bit different from the earlier ones. But it will still bring the same result. Let us now examine an interesting vision of the prophet Ezekiel that relates to the circumstances of many human beings.

Ezekiel 37: 1-15

 The Valley of Dry Bones

1 The hand of the LORD was upon me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the LORD and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones. 2 He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry. 3 He asked me, "Son of man, can these bones live?"

I said, "O Sovereign LORD, you alone know."

4 Then he said to me, "Prophesy to these bones and say to them, 'Dry bones, hear the word of the LORD! 5 This is what the Sovereign LORD says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life. 6 I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the LORD.' "

7 So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone. 8 I looked, and tendons and flesh appeared on them and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them.

9 Then he said to me, "Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to it, 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe into these slain, that they may live.' " 10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet—a vast army.

11 Then he said to me: "Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. They say, 'Our bones are dried up and our hope is gone; we are cut off.' 12 Therefore prophesy and say to them: 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: O my people, I am going to open your graves and bring you up from them; I will bring you back to the land of Israel. 13 Then you, my people, will know that I am the LORD, when I open your graves and bring you up from them. 14 I will put my Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land. Then you will know that I the LORD have spoken, and I have done it, declares the LORD.' "

This is a classic case of God’s ability to turn spiritual situations around completely. God uses a three major ingredients to bring a miracle to pass.

1.      First and foremost, for God to process a miracle, there must be an impossible situation at hand. God must suspend the            natural for the supernatural to occur.

2.      As we can see also from the instructions given to the prophet, there is an element of faith involved.

3.      Lastly, nothing would have happened if prophet Ezekiel did not take the steps of faith and put God’s instructions to                    action.

The dry bones vision is actually representative of our spiritual conditions. For many individuals, if their spiritual man were to be revealed to them, it would be very hungry looking with its ribs sticking out.

The image for some would be almost representative of a zombie or a dead person.

When you have done everything and most or all the areas of your life are not bringing forth any kind of results or fruit, then you can be said to be like the dry bones in the middle of the valley.

Dry bones in a sun soaked valley would probably have the following characteristics;

  •  They would have been bleached white in the sun.
  • Any kind of nutrient the bones carried while it was living would have been washed away by incessant rains.
  • Because they lack any flesh on them, such bones would be totally unrecognizable from their former living state.

With this vision God wants every individual, business, marriage, ministry, group or entity to know that nothing is really over until He, the creator of the universe says so.

After a grueling sixteen month odyssey an aging Paul (formerly Saul the prosecutor of the brethren) wrote from a squalid Roman prison, 'Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say, Rejoice' (Philippians 4:4). Paul knew two things God is saying through the vision of the dry bones:

  •  It's not over till God says it's over. Circumstances and people don't have the last word; God does! He is ' and finisher of our faith...' (Hebrews 12:2). With God, quitting is not an option. When you quit without his permission you are not fit for His redemptive promises. Furthermore, when you abandon your mission you forfeit His protection and provision.
  • Nothing can defeat you without your permission; and so you must not give it.

You can't control what happens to you, but you can control what you say and do. That's all you need to control; God will control the rest. You can't control the handicaps, puzzles and persecution that characterize your journey, but you can control whether or not you will respond with frustration, despair and rejection (2 Corinthians 4:8-9).

You can't always avoid getting knocked down, but you can determine whether or not you get knocked out. Refusing to stay down denies your enemy permission to sabotage your destiny. Do you have a God-given dream? Refuse to quit and it will surely come to pass. Have no dream? Ask God for one. Already accomplished your dream? Ask God for another one before you lose the joy and motivation of life. Do you have a dream so small it does not stretch you? Ask God for a bigger one and watch your faith grow!

Anytime God wants to cause revival in the life of a human being or place or object, He changes the name of that entity. For instance, Abram became ABRAHAM. Jacob became ISRAEL, Haddasah became ESTHER, Saul became PAUL. One of the marks of a revival in a person is a name change. This is neither ordinary nor symbolic, but a plan of God to cause revival in that life.

In 1 Chronicles 4:9-11 (New International Version) the bible says, “9 Jabez was more honorable than his brothers. His mother had named him Jabez, saying, "I gave birth to him in pain." 10 Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, "Oh that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain." And God granted his request.

Jabez knew that he had to act fast when he discovered that his name meant “sorrow and pain”. It is impossible for a child to know what name its mother called him/her at the point of birth. But wisdom demands that a child changes his/her name if the name will derail his/her destiny.

The lineage of Abraham was changed to a lineage experiencing delays when his father’s name was called Terah meaning delay (Genesis 11:10-32). Prior to this their family line never experienced delays in giving birth to children. It started with Terah who did not have children till he turned 70 and went on for many generations.
