Creating Fulfilled Destinies!

Pages 8-11

Below are some portraits of various typical cases of the African descendant. They are all hypothetical and do not represent anyone living or dead in any place although some actual existing places have been mentioned.

Portrait 1

Ms Yolanda Simmons  is 56 years old and single. She has 10 children by 6 different men. She has gone through 3 marriages and 3 divorces. She is a grandmother and became a great grandmother at age 54. She had her first child at age 15 when she was raped by a neighbor.

Of her 10 children (4 male and 6 female), one was shot dead in a drive-by shooting, two are in jail serving various terms for crack cocaine peddling. 3 of her daughters have children out of wedlock and only one is presently married although she is in her second marriage.

4 of her children live with her in the family house in the German Town section of Philadelphia. The house, which is old and dilapidated, has been passed down over 3 generations. There is the real threat of foreclosure now because she has defaulted twice consecutively on the payment of council taxes. To make matters worse, she is presently on chemotherapy treatment at a local hospital, to stop the breast cancer, the same type  that  killed her mother, 2 aunts and also a great grandmother.

She is a church going Christian and desperately loves her Lord. Sometimes she wonders if she could have done something different to make her life better than she it has been.

Portrait 2

Stephen Smith is barely 27, though years of adversity makes him look more like 45. He is just happy to be alive. As he reflects on his short but eventful life, he knows, it is a miracle that he is alive after surviving the drug infested black neighborhoods and drug gang culture of Baltimore. Many of his friends and home boys are buried in the Baltimore Cemetery.

His uncle (his father walked out on the family when he was just 2 years old) is coming to pick him up today to go and collect his monthly unemployment benefits. If he doesn’t get it, chances are that he will be homeless and living in the park or some subway by the end of the month. He shudders at that thought, because he’s gone through that cycle before, and the last time, he had to spend 3 months in a rehab paid for by the government to beat his addiction. There has to be a better life somewhere, but he muses the ‘odds are against a young black man in America….’

Portrait 3

Adriano Thiago  is a 59 year old Brazilian. He has spent the last 30 years of his life in a medium security prison. He got committed to prison for the murder of a drugstore minder, in a petty armed robbery case.

He was about to get married, and was just finishing an apprenticeship in a car manufacturing facility when this incident occurred. His most productive years are gone and he has nothing to show for it.

The problem is Adriano is completely innocent. He is suffering the case of mistaken identity, and those that know the truth will not come out and say it. So his life jail sentence with no option of parole will see him die in prison. Even if he is paroled, where is he going to start from?

These are just three portraits of the African descendant in North America. Yes, there are better pictures to paint, but the statistics tend to be more in the negative (especially for men) for an African American, be they in North or South America or elsewhere in the world.

Why are African descendants affected so negatively and profoundly 300-400 years after their ancestors were taken as slaves? Why do they carry so many emotional and spiritual wounds and scars as they go about life’s business. The causes are several. The Bible states in Exodus 20:4-6 (New King James Version)

4 “You shall not make for yourself a carved image—any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; 5 you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, 6 but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.

Also in Jeremiah 11:9-11 (New King James Version) the word of God says

9 And the LORD said to me, “A conspiracy has been found among the men of Judah and among the inhabitants of Jerusalem. 10 They have turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers who refused to hear My words, and they have gone after other gods to serve them; the house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken My covenant which I made with their fathers.”
11 Therefore thus says the LORD: “Behold, I will surely bring calamity on them which they will not be able to escape; and though they cry out to Me, I will not listen to them.

The source of spiritual barrenness and repetitive failures from generation to generation can be found in the above passages. Individuals with ancestors who have practised idol worship (virtually every African and African descendant) are already operating under this ‘curse’.

There is also the case of those whose ancestors carried the worship of these gods across the oceans to the ‘new land’ or on slave ships. Their children have happily resuscitated and sustained these rituals and worship practices because of spiritual ignorance and a ‘need’ to feel ‘African’. For them, Jeremiah 11: 9-11 is the operative ‘curse’ in their lives. And this must be removed.

I have met so many African descendants in my travels and one thing you discover is their longing to visit the ‘motherland’. They feel as if there is some part of them missing and until they physically visit some African country they will not be able to put a hand to what it is. If an individual is linked to ancestors who dedicated their families to evil spiritual altars in their ancestral homeland one can be attracted to going ‘home’. This is because these evil altars and the covenants that are made upon them, serve as ‘spiritual magnets’, drawing descendants back. Such people may also experience having dreams that signify backwardness and failure. They experience dreams of seeing themselves in their old schools and former places of residence. When this happens, circumstances reverse in the physical (they lose jobs, promotions, marriages, children, money etc.) and they go back to square one, literally.

Others make the habit of collecting and keeping old African masks, idol figurines, and tokens of ‘africanness’, like the dashiki dress, African amulets and African beads.

This spiritual exercise will free those who take it seriously, from evil ancestral altars and shrines. An altar is basically the point at which a connection is made between two spiritual points. It is a structure on which sacrifices are offered.

A shrine is a more permanent form of an altar. The shrine is usually a place of dedication to an entity, and the tokens, tools or relics used to honor that entity are permanent. The altar is useless without the priest and the offering.

Those who do evil, use altars and shrines as sacred spaces to house the energy (demons) used in magic. To them it is a very spiritual area. They use it to perform spells, hold rituals, and evil dedications and reinforcement of spells, curses and negative pronouncements.

Before you start this program pray these prayers aggressively for at least five minutes;

“Every ancestral altar reinforcing the destruction of my destiny be destroyed now, in the name of Jesus.”

“Lord, send your healing power into the foundation of my life; in the name of Jesus.”

When the healing power of God gets into the foundation, the top too will be healed. For the Bible says, (Psalm 11:3) "If the foundation be destroyed what can the righteous do?" Many of the problems people face daily are problems due to faulty spiritual foundations.

When God created all things in the beginning and passed them through his quality control laboratory, the verdict that came out was that "everything is very good." Even till now, the plants have no problem, water has no problem, the animals have no problems.

The book of Luke21: 26, says that it will get to a time when the heart of men will fail for fear, but we need to be successful in whatever warfare we are fighting no matter how fierce the battle is. The enemy will make some progress because of sin. One of the reasons the enemy has so much control over many lives is because those involved have found it difficult to do away with their sinful acts and ways.

When a person constantly repeats a particular sin, Satan will take up his abode in that area of the person’s life. As a family continues to repeat a sin from generation to generation, the devil uses that area to afflict them. It could be the spirit of worry, fear, sexual sin, laziness, abusive tongue, etc. He will use these sins as his base.

Let us get back to altars. We can make a connection that the negative areas of our lives are altars to the enemy, because these areas are the points of reinforcement of negative manifestations in our lives.

Altars can manifest in different ways. The important thing is that the characteristics described at the beginning of this chapter subsist for the particular situation. So incest, for instance, can be a strong altar in a family, and this can manifest itself for generations in one single family.

COVENANT OF INCEST: When blood brothers and sisters commit fornication together, they form covenants. If a lady has ever been involved in this type of incest, such a lady would generally end up with a broken home unless she breaks the evil covenant. This may be also responsible for the syndrome of early death in so many families.

So if a family lineage is formed, based on the incestual relationship between a Mandingo slave stud and his sisters or mother 200 hundred years ago on a slave plantation, that covenant of incest between family members would be the spiritual opening to generational incestual relationships in that family. This also leads to the manifestation of single parent families.

To reverse this situation in your life, please pray these prayers quickly;

“By the Blood of Jesus, I break every evil covenant of incest manifesting in my bloodline In Jesus’ name.”

“Every evil flow reinforcing incestual relationships in my family, dry up In Jesus’ name.”

“To reverse the situation of failure in my life, I break myself, from every evil cycle of failure In Jesus’ name.”

Families with certain types of names are actually servicing the altar of that evil family name. Ask yourself this question right now. Does the origin of your family name glorify an idol? As long as you use the name that is glorifying an idol, problems will accumulate in your life. What is the full meaning of the names you have? You need to check where your family name originated from? Check today to ensure that you do not have an accursed name, family or otherwise. To be delivered you might need to change that family name.

Your family name could be taken from that of your family’s slave owner. That opens up another door of foundational weakness. Get your family a good Christian name and stick to it. Names matter. Jacob’s name had to be changed to Israel for him to manifest greatness as a nation. So also Abram, and Sarai had to become Abraham and Sarah for them to manifest as the parents of many nations.

For instance, John whose surname was Mark (see Acts 12:12, 12:25,15:37) was the young cousin of Barnabas. He was the one that caused much contention between Barnabas and Paul because John Mark had departed from them in Pamphylia (land of many people/races), and had not gone with them on the evangelical journey (Acts 15:36-40).
